This is a new item for me, I'm virtually certain I had never seen one of these until recently. Apparently Upper Deck put out a set of player themed miniature die-cast Corvettes back in 2008. There were 17 different Hall of Famers who had a mini Corvette. All by themselves, the Corvettes are only of minor interest to me. What is of more significant interest to me, however, is that each of these Corvettes were packaged with a card of the player. And not just one of the regular issue cards from that year. There are numerous miniature cars from the late 1990s and early 2000s that were issued with regular issue cards of the player. These cards are completely unique to this issue, with a design that as far as I can tell was only used for these cards that came with the Corvettes. And it is a pretty appealing design in my opinion.
These don't appear to be tough to come by. The card/Corvette packages are available in numerous places for $4.99 plus shipping. I'll definitely be adding one of these to my collection soon. They are listed on a couple of variety stores websites, so I am going to take a look around at some brick and mortar stores next time I get down to Chicago and hopefully I'll be able to save the shipping. If not, $10 or so shipped is a price I am willing to pay.

That's another new one for me! Thanks for sending the link, I'll add it to my checklist and put a note on the blog about it sometime next week. I'll have to do some more research and see if there are any more like this floating around out there.
